Learn how to be noticed by executives and search experts in Thailand

A lawyer once asked me to advise me on what to do with recruiters. She was an in-house counsel, and was disappointed that she did not receive the same amount of attention from recruiters like her colleagues from law firms. Here are three ways to being recognized by Executive Search Thailand.

Refer.

Establish long-lasting relationships with recruiters through being helpful. Respond to recruiter calls even when you're not seeking, and assist them identify candidates by referring good leads. Keep in mind that your referrals reflect on you and your company, so only recommend those who are in line with the requirements of what they're working on and will be a good representation of you.

Referred.

Recruiters want to connect with you. They rarely receive uninvited applicants. Therefore, maintain a strong network, ask your peers who the best recruiters in your industry are and then have your colleagues recommend you to them.

Be prominent.

In addition, recruiters want to discover you, so be visible at the places they browse. Keep active in your professional associations or participate in conferences, create white papers, and make changes to you LinkedIn profile. Public speaking and writing are excellent methods of establishing your skills and get recruiters to consider candidates who are at the most successful. It's also a great method for those with less conventional experience (e.g. an in-house counsel) to be recognized by those with more traditional backgrounds (e.g. at top legal firms).

Manage your career. Recruitment agencies are excellent for having a better understanding of the marketplace, including pay, the demands for your talents, and trends in hiring. Recruiters have access to high-paying positions, particularly the large retained firms and particularly for C-suite positions. However, you should be in contact with people who are who can hire them and then refer them to. So you're the most effective person to present yourself and stay at the forefront of those who are in the right position.
